This page is maintained by TeleKyla LLC ("TeleKyla," "we," "us") to describe how this website collects and uses information. It applies only to this website. Clinical services, records, and communications with clients are governed by our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices, which is provided separately at intake.
Information you provide
Inquiries are submitted through a secure, encrypted, HIPAA-compliant Hushmail form (hushforms.com/telekyla-secure-contact-form), which opens in a new tab. The form collects your first name, last name, email address, phone number, and a message. We use that information only to respond to your inquiry and, if you choose to move forward, to schedule a free consultation. Please do not send detailed clinical information through this form.
Booking platforms
If you book through Psychology Today, Headway, or SimplePractice, your information is collected and processed by those platforms under their own privacy policies. We recommend reviewing them directly before submitting information.
Cookies and analytics
This website uses only the cookies required for basic operation. We do not run third-party advertising or cross-site tracking on this site.
How we protect information
Website inquiries are transmitted over HTTPS. We limit access to inquiry information to Kyla C. Kaufman, MEd, LPC, NCC, EMDR Trained. We retain contact-form messages only as long as needed to respond to your request or as required by law.
Your choices
You can request that we delete a message you sent through the contact form, or ask what information we currently have on file, by emailing the address below. If you become a client, additional rights apply under HIPAA and are described in our Notice of Privacy Practices.
Minors
TeleKyla provides counseling to children, teens, and adults. Inquiries about services for a minor should be submitted by a parent or legal guardian.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of the page.
