Clinical services, records, and communications with clients are governed by our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices, which is provided separately at intake.
Information you provide
When you use the contact form, you share your name, email address, the state you'll be in during sessions, and a short message. We use that information only to respond to your inquiry and, if you choose to move forward, to schedule a free consultation. Please do not send sensitive clinical details through this form — we'll use a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform for anything clinical.
Booking platforms
If you book through Psychology Today, Headway, or SimplePractice, your information is collected and processed by those platforms under their own privacy policies. We recommend reviewing them directly before submitting information.
Cookies and analytics
This website uses only the cookies required for basic operation. We do not run third-party advertising or cross-site tracking on this site.
How we protect information
Website inquiries are transmitted over HTTPS. We limit access to inquiry information to Kyla C. Kaufman, LPC. We retain contact-form messages only as long as needed to respond to your request or as required by law.
Your choices
You can request that we delete a message you sent through the contact form, or ask what information we currently have on file, by emailing the address below. If you become a client, additional rights apply under HIPAA and are described in our Notice of Privacy Practices.
Children
This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children through this site.
